Music, Padel and Nature Come Together at WEEKEND ESCAPE

A refined mountain resort meets the pulse of contemporary urban sound.  

The MUSIC ESCAPE line-up is curated by block.fm, the online radio platform known for championing Japanese club culture and electronic music at home and abroad. Led by ☆Taku Takahashi of m-flo and block.fm, the programme brings together a diverse group of artists who have helped shape Japan’s dance music scene. 

The setting itself is produced by Mount Alive, the team behind JOIN ALIVE and a driving force in Hokkaido’s live music culture. From stage design to show production, Mount Alive will create an immersive environment where music and Niseko’s sweeping natural landscape come together. 

The bill features Shinichi Osawa, Tomoyuki Tanaka (FPM), 80KIDZ, DJ FUMIYA, Emi Okamoto, YonYon and DONGROSSO, alongside locally based DJs and a dedicated DJ line-up bringing energy to the padel courts. Set against the mountains and fresh autumn air, MUSIC ESCAPE promises a sound experience found only in Niseko.

Surrounded by Niseko’s mountains, the Hanazono padel courts will host ASIA PADEL EVENTS PRESENTS APExCUP.  

Padel combines elements of tennis and squash in a fast, social and highly accessible racquet sport. Easy to pick up and exciting to watch, it is rapidly gaining fans around the world. 

APExCUP will welcome an outstanding group of professional captains, including former world No. 1 Lucia Sainz and Carolina Navarro, who held the world No. 1 ranking for nine years. They will be joined by leading players from Japan, China, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong for a weekend of matches, a Pro-Am, a professional exhibition and the final. 

Expect speed, strategy and spectacular rallies as some of the sport’s most accomplished players compete at close range against one of Hokkaido’s most dramatic backdrops.

PADEL+ introductory sessions are also planned, giving guests the opportunity not only to watch the action, but to step onto the court and experience the sport for themselves.

A wide range of resort activities will be available throughout the event. Race through Niseko’s spectacular landscape on HANAZONO ZIPFLIGHT—Japan’s longest zipline—or explore the mountain bike park, before heading out after sunset to experience the luminous world of Mountain Lights. 

Food will be another highlight of the weekend, with the distinctive hospitality of Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono woven throughout the event.
