For Your Safety in Resort
Please understand the following points when skiing and other snow sports and activities in Niseko Hanazono Resort.
At Niseko Hanazono Resort, your safety is our top priority. While we take every measure to ensure a safe experience, please be aware of the following hazards on the mountain:
- Weather hazards like snow, wind, and fog
- Terrain hazards such as cliffs and uneven surfaces
- Snow conditions, including icy slopes, snowdrifts, and avalanches
- Natural obstacles like rocks and trees
- Man-made obstacles such as lifts, buildings, and snow groomers
- Risks from other skiers
- Hazards caused by your own actions
To ensure the safety of all guests, please observe the following regulations when using Niseko Hanazono Resort:
- Always maintain control of your ski or snowboard. Adjust your speed to suit your skill level, physical condition, and the level of congestion on the slopes.
- Do not interfere with the gliding of the person in front of you.
- Never sit on the course. Refrain from stopping in narrow or obstructed areas that may not be visible to other skiers or snowboarders.
- If you fall, quickly get back up and move off the course to avoid blocking the path for others.
- When climbing, walking, or stopping, always stay near the edge of the course to maintain clear paths.
- All skis, snowboards, and related equipment must be equipped with a flow stopper.
- Always follow the instructions of ski patrol and resort staff. Adhere to all signs, no-entry zones, and any announcements or warnings issued by the resort.
- If you are involved in or witness an accident, you must cooperate with the rescue team, report the incident, and provide your identification.
- Do not climb or ski on courses that are closed due to bad weather, maintenance, or any other reasons.
- Ensure that you understand how to ride the lift safely before using it.
Please follow the instructions of our staff and let us know if you have any concerns about using the lifts. Preschool children must ride with a parent or guardian. Be sure to wear your ski or snowboard equipment, and avoid bumping into other passengers. If you're unable to get off, stay seated.
The following actions are not allowed while using the lift:
- Shaking the chair
- Jumping off the chair
- Playing or turning around on the chair
- Touching the posts with poles or other objects
- Flapping your skis
- Moving the handrails unnecessarily
- Riding with an infant without a proper restraint device
Children must not be left unattended and should always be supervised by a parent or guardian.
For any matters not covered above, please follow all laws, regulations, and general safety practices
- Niseko Hanazono Resort is not responsible for accidents outside of managed areas.
- Follow the "Niseko Rules" with caution, and understand that you do so at your own risk. If a rescue is deemed necessary by Niseko Hanazono resort, all related expenses will be charged to the party involved.
- If you cause damage or incur costs by not following these rules or Japanese laws, you will be responsible for compensation.
- Niseko Hanazono Resort is not liable for theft in the ski equipment storage area or parking lot.
