A 12-meter-tall Christmas tree will debut in Niseko Hanazono Resort this Christmas season. With approximately 10,000 LED lights on the Hanazono Christmas tree and light decorations around the base of the tree, the winter holiday season at Hanazono will be ablaze with color. Together with Hanazono's weekly fireworks displays Christmas at Hanazono will be a wonderland of powder snow, color and excitement.
The Hanazono Christmas tree is positioned prominently in the center of Hanazono Lift 1 and Hanazono Symphony Gondola for all to see. It is sure to become not only a beacon of color at Niseko Hanazono Resort but a genuine and much-loved Christmas icon of all Niseko's winter season. A visit to Hanazono will be mandatory every Christmas season.
Hanazono Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony & Fireworks
Kick off the Christmas season with the lighting up of our brand-new Christmas Tree on December 17, the first day of the night skiing operation! Warm up this winter season with free "hot apple cider" and cookies and enjoy the fireworks. It is whispered that Santa Claus may come to visit with presents for the kids, so make sure to bring the whole family.
Date and Time: December 17, at around 17:00
Place: At the Hanazono Christmas Tree (near the lift and gondola stations).
11 Nights of Fireworks
Hanazono's night sky will be spectacular this season! Fireworks will light up the sky on Saturday evening December 17, and every Saturday night for 10 weeks thereafter, including Christmas and New Year's Eve.
Night Skiing, fireworks, colorfully illuminated gondola cabins – fun for the whole family!
Date: Every Saturday evening starting December 17, 2022 (two times on December 31, one family-friendly-early, one at midnight) over 11 magical weeks.
Time: Approximately 7-10 minutes from around 19:00

Gondola Light Up
The LED lights on the cabins of Hanazono’s new Symphony gondola, designed by Italy’s Pininfarina design studio and made by POMA of France, will change colors throughout the winter season. What colors do you think will be on show at Christmas time? And what color do you think will display on Valentine’s Day?

Christmas Eve 2022 – Santa Claus Meet and Greet
Santa Claus is scheduled to touch down with his reindeers and sleigh at Hanazono on Christmas Eve! There will be free "hot apple cider" and cookies and fireworks. Santa Claus will have presents for kids who have been good all year long! Come and take a picture with Santa at the Hanazono Christmas Tree!
