A Recap of 2019's Niseko Classic and HANAZONO Hill Climb

Summer in Niseko is by no means a wind-down when it comes to activities and sporting events - biking stands as one of the most popular sports in the region during the warmer months. The Niseko Classic race series brings competitors from all over Japan and the world to the area to battle it out in 4 races: the 140km and 70km around Mt Niseko Annupuri, a Time Trial and the Yotei fun ride which goes around Mt Yotei.

The HANAZONO Hill Climb is part of the Kutchan Jaga Matsuri festivities and challenges locals and visitors alike to an uphill race in the stunning HANAZONO area of Niseko. 

Both events were a success with great weather and record numbers and they continue to grow each year as Niseko proves itself as a great biking destination when the mercury climbs higher.
